Yagya Raj Thapa
Mr. Thapa is one of the founders of the DFHRI. He completed MA in Sociology from Purbanchal University and LLB from Nepal Law Campus, Tribhuvan University. He holds an advocate license issued by Nepal Bar Council. He has a long working experience in the field of human rights and justice. He also served in the National Human Rights Commission of Nepal for five years from September 2000 to June 2005.
Ms. Mittal did her Master’s in Sociology from Tribhuvan University and is currently doing LLB from Nepal Law Campus. Before coming to DFHRI, she worked at NFCC Nepal, a nonprofit organization working in sexual and reproductive health, GBV and rights of women. She is a liberal feminist and has strong interest and passion in the field of human rights and justice particularly concerning women.
Ms. Saxena has been working at DFHRI since 2016. She is working as the Finance Officer, responsible for the overall financial management of the organization. She completed Masters in Business Studies (MBS) from Nepal Commerce Campus, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu.
Ms. Dhungana completed her Master’s in English from Ratna RajyaLaxmi Campus, Tribhuvan University.
Before coming to DFHRI, she was associated with Accountability Watch Committee as a Researcher.
Udayaman is responsible in carrying out day-to-day duties of front desk reception to ensure the
smooth and efficient functioning of activities. He is currently pursuing BBS from Tribhuvan University.
Kabita Budhathoki provides support to the whole team to carry out activities smoothly. She looks after office maintaining hygiene and making other necessary arrangements. She has been working with DHFRI for past 6 years.
