Post-Earthquake Monitoring conducted in 3 different districts

Former Commissioners Society-National Human Rights Commission (FOCOS-NHRC) and Democratic Freedom and Human Rights Institute (DFHRI) in support of The Asia Foundation, Kathmandu recently organized field monitoring in three different districts affected by the April 25 Earthquake. The monitoring was held from February (5-7), 2016 in its Phase II. In presence of the Former Chief Justice/ Chairperson, NHRC, Mr. Kedarnath Upadhyaya and Former Members, NHRC, Dr. Gaurishankar Lal Das and Mr. Sushil Pyakurel, the DFHRI team visited Nuwakot, Rasuwa and Dhading districts to understand the ground realities and identify the real problems the victim community has been facing in the recent days. Discussion with the local representatives, journalists, human rights community, members of civil society, victims, and members of different political parties among others was held in the districts mentioned.
